Ramin Rahimian
b. 1981 – Tehran, Iran
English, Farsi

I moved with my family to Sweden when I was five and lived there for three years. I became fluent in Swedish. I ate cheese from a tube. In 1989, we moved to beautiful northern California. I started school and learned English, and forgot Swedish. I wore parachute pants and a rattail haircut. During my first year at UC Berkeley, I stopped taking pictures of my friends skating and began to focus on photojournalism.

I worked for 2 years on the staff at the Minneapolis Star Tribune. I am now a freelancer living in Utah.

U.S. Western gas boomtown multimedia piece

Hey everyone. Last year I worked on this project on a small gas boomtown in south central Wyoming. I went back recently and got some audio and put together a multimedia piece. Please check it out and tell me what you think.
