Black slide

Hi

Does anyone know where to get this and how to write on it?

“an opening slide black background and white writing”.

Sorry for the lack of knowledge and thanks for the help

If you mean for a slideshow or projection, just make a file in photoshop with black as the backround color. use the type tool, with white chosen as color.

Are you being asked to submit images to a slideshow? Is this for a digital presentation or using slide film?

If you need a physical 35mm slide, there are people you can send a jpg to over the internet and they send you the physical slide, for about $3.00 a slide.

If it’s for a digital presentation, then follow Erica’s suggestion to make a photoshop file, then save as a jpg. You can use the type tool to put the text on the page.

If you mean a 35mm slide, I usually get a black one with every roll I have developed, I think it probably depends on how the camera winds the film. Or if you don’t just shoot a few frames with the lens covered over.

To write on them, just use something pen-like and sharp to scratch the emulsion off. You have to press quite hard but not hard enough that you go through the film. I find it easiest if you take the film out of the slide mount. And of course you need to do this over a light box if not you won’t see the writing.

This may sound like a stupid question Erica but can you make jpgs with text as your example above in Photoshop Elements?

Don’t forget to flatten the image (collapse the layers) or PS won’t let you save it as a JPEG.

Thank you guys for all the help. Problem is solved and slide show will happen.

In general, I avoid flattening my images. It’s all to easy to accidentially hit save, then your layers are gone forever. If you press command-option-shift-s from an image that has layers, it brings up the save for web and devices dialog box, which will allow you to save as a jpg or png without having to flatten first.
