About

Lebanese born, majored in photography at a Fine-Arts faculty in Lebanon.. Was always interested in refugees, social and human rights cases.. Took photos in Iraq while on a humanitarian mission.. Documented the life of refugees stranded on the border of Jordan-Iraq summer-fall 2004. Worked as the photo editor at AP in Beirut for 20 months, before quitting end of 2006. And after the long rest I am now trying to go back to my social documentary photography, as I decided to work on the aftermath of the summerlong war in Lebanon, and the Lebanese community.

PhotoForum launch in London this Thursday

I got this message from a dear friend and I thought some of you out there in London might be interested.. It sounds really interesting and I would have loved to be there but since I am thousands of miles away I will not be able… And well I hope you enjoy the pub after… Cheers, Dalia

PhotoForum launch – Thursday 3rd April 2008 – Jacobs Pro Lounge 6-8pm

Showcasing work from Helen Atkinson, Lefteris Pitarakis, Daniel Berehulak.

London has some of the best photographic talent in the world and much of the work is unseen and under used.

Photoforum, kindly hosted by Jacobs will be a space for photographers to meet and discuss our work.

Running monthly on the first Thursday of the month it will be a place for working photographers across the spectrum to bring images, ideas, photo stories, approaches, work in progress for supportive debate and criticism.

Failing that a good piss-up in the pub after.

Each Forum will have a range of photographers ‘showcasing’ with names in the hat for a random open slot for photographers who like to leave such things to fate – don’t forget to bring your work in a readable format jpegs on CD preferably.

This is an event for photographers by photographers.
