I first met Tee and Darryl when I was walking through Little Italy in lower Manhattan one night in June 07. Both Tee and Darryl live in Manhattan at a place called ‘Common Ground’ on the Bowery New York. It’s a kind of hostel for the homeless that houses about sixty residents. Tee is of Native American and Puerto Rican descent and grew up in the Bronx, NY and Darryl moved to NY 12 years ago from his home town of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
